I've just been going through Tirau Dan's Flickr pages, and I think its a great pity that an argument in 1 round should deprive the competition of not 1, but 2 of the better, more enthusiastic photographers that RHP has to offer.
I'd like to invite Tirau and Essjay to take part in the future rounds, including this one, if Noodles is extending the deadline. I think the round is well suited to Dan's skills with still life subjects. We should just let bygones be bygones and everybody has to gain with Tirau and Essjay sharing their work. The contentious issue of the ban on commenting on in progress rounds has been lifted, so hopefully the format will be more to Dan's liking.

Argh. Not only has the digital camera not arrived yet, the chess pictures I have taken a while ago have also disappeared completely. Oh well, I'll keep looking. I am not sure any of them are worth entering, though. So I might end up not entering this round.
Gatecrasher, how much time do you need? Any others who would like to enter, but need more time? I know DdV wanted to try to take some pictures for this round, but I haven't heard anything from him lately, and he hasn't made any moves for almost two weeks.
Originally posted by NordlysIt'd be worth waiting for another week or two for DdV, as he is one of the few ever presents.

Originally posted by RagnorakThanks for taking me into consideration, I didn't manage to spend much time here lately. I might come up with a picture for this round, but I'm sure whether I'll manage, so you don't need to hold off on starting this round just for me. If I don't have something ready by monday, I probably won't be able to send in a picture anyway.

I find this a hard subject, by the way. I've been thinking about how to approach it, but I couldn't come up with something I actually want to try out for real.
Originally posted by DdVI was the same until I started actually clicking. This might not be as easy for you (unless you've been able to persuade your better half about the need to get a DSLR), but I found the shots became clear once I started shooting.
