Oh, it's still there. Although it's gone to sh-t recently.

As much as I'd love to do a Regional meet-up, I'm really hoping that a bigger one may materialise. I know it's pretty unlikely, but I'm crossing my fingers.

But anytime you Canucks want to get together, just let me know...
It's been about 30 years since I last set foot in the Wheatsheaf and even then it was a bit ...well unpretentious. If something gets going in the area let me know (Toronto and vacinity) I'm in southwest Ontario halfway between Torornto and Detroit)

Since the conversation in the London Meet-Up thread seems to have turned to a similar event in the US and/or Canada, I figured I'd start a new thread for the purpose of discussing that.

Geographically, we're covering a much larger territory, so I thought it might be worthwhile to consider two meet-ups, one for the eastern half of the continent, and ...[text shortened]... r to central).

For the west, I'm thinking Denver or San Francisco.

What do you all think?
I could maybe fly to Denver, I need to build up hours for my commercial rating

How about Detroit, Michigan??? It's real close to our Canadian friends and quite a popular area.

"Beantown" for me!
We can meet at Cheers, and perhaps the Cheers of Boston Clan could host!😵

If it would be June 24 or 25 2006 somewhere not too far (reachable by train or bus) from Philadelphia, I might turn up. At other times of the year, LA or San Diego would be the places I would be most likely to go to, although it still wouldn't be very likely that I could come.

NYC - l

Central:

If Darvlay and GBS want to pick just one of their two cities, we can get rid of the halves....

By the way, it looks like there might be sufficient interest to at least get some kind of meet-up going in Beantown.

Phlabby, since that's your town, you interested in putting it together?

Phlabby lives in Rhode Island, not Boston. It seems to me that Boston isn't that good geographically speaking; you can hardly go further north and east. Washington or Philly or Pittsburgh would seem to be better locations if you're trying to maximize attendance from people in the eastern half of the US and Canada.
