Scripture says the Earth is immovable, but I don't think it says the Earth is flat. (I could be wrong about that, I'm not so well-versed.)
The Bible does not state that the earth is flat; however there are a handful of geometric inferences such as “four corners of the earth” or “circle of the earth”.

However one scripture does say something along the lines of “God hangs the earth on nothing”; which rules out it sitting on a turtle I suppose and could be a nod to the reality of the earth in space.

"The four corners of the Earth" is, of course, figurative, and maps to the four winds and the four directions, north, south, east and west, and does not imply flatness. However, the Church cited the following passage against Galileo's claim that the Earth moves:

@diver,

I recall the war of words between us over the years, and am pleased to say they are over now. I think if we had it to do all over again, we would do things differently.

We can't erase the past just move on and try to do better going forward.

Where I reside the earth certainly gives the impression that it is, indeed, flat.πŸ€”πŸ‘

There's more starch sir in your chosen words than there are in the ruffs of your cravat.

Hardly, Stees lives in Ontario unless I missed something and he moved. πŸ˜‰

Several years ago, much to the detriment of the forums (imo), the forum search function was vandalised (you know who you are) so you nor I cannot verify this particular memory …

My first ever post here was in the ‘Help Forum’ asking if turning off move notifications was a good idea.

The first reply was from a member called @Trev33, aka @The-only-Mr-T, suggesting I give ...[text shortened]... onents my mobile number so they can text me when they’ve moved.

Absolutely true story from 2008.
I had a quick look, it wasn't the help.forum, in 2008 my Trev33 account was forum banned until October.

My favorite memory was when ghost bumping was a thing (swear in the thread and it bumped the thread to the top of the list). I decided to do it to 30 GB threads he had started and posted in last so it appeared like he had post 30 posts in a row in his own threads. I believe it was Crowley who gave GB a forum ban before realizing what had happened and duly banned me for a month. Fun times.

Good times indeed. The ghost bumping thing was super fun before most people caught on to what was happening.

My memory of you suggesting I send my opponent my mobile number is accurate, and it still makes me smile even now.
In other news I have figured out the game settings since then.

May I ask, what was the relevance of your apparently non-sequitur post to this thread's topic or to my fond reminiscences re: "Scorn." ?
the olde zen saying goes that holding on to anger is the same as grasping a burning coal - you are the one who will get burned

you are nostalgic for scorn, or against scorn
either way that is the wound that will not heal

it is quite possible that my observation that you feel scorned is incorrect
and that what you referred to was the scorn you would hurl at yer enemies

again, either way, the wound is yours to carry until you release it (cease picking at the scab)

i am somewhat contrite
you feel as if my observation was a personal attack
this was not my intention
but i can see how it may feel that way

unasked for advice - release the pain of scorn either felt or hurled

@Mr. T

Yes, I remember that one, one time I agree with what Crowley did there haven't been a lot of times we have agreed on things. πŸ˜‰
