Yeah, but that doesn't preclude the possibility that there might have been others.

Maybe Stees should have a bomb squad empty his golf bag just to be sure, and put a fresh set in from a trusted source.

[Edit: Or maybe a slightly less-trusted source. It's a common trope for the most-trusted source to be the one you never should have trusted.]
