Muppy, a reminder... wise men never complain (nobody really cares) and never explain (friends don't need it/enemies won't believe you anyway).

Why are you honoured to be married to someone from the US? I suppose one would either be honoured to be married to a lady no matter what, regardless of which country she's from, or not be honoured at all.

There's more to this world than America, and if I see this m ...[text shortened]... hought that pops into my head is not 'Wow, this must be the greatest nation of the world'!
Respect your high chess rating even though you lack the sensitivity to reach for understanding/rapport with seniors around three score and ten.

Indeed we are both entitled to our thoughts, and thus I can question someone's motives (we're posting on a forum, that's what happens as well, right?) if I disagree. If you addressed your comments to someone else, don't post them in a forum where anyone can read them and make comments. I'm sincerely happy for you that you're happily married, but there were some 'America's great' things in the post that made no sense to me.
As for your first snide comment, the purpose of my 'pop into head thought' sentence was obviously not to make you very interested in the thoughts I have at any time. It was just a manner of speaking, as I thought would be pretty clear.
Other than that, just enjoy life and don't feel offended by any forum post at all. That's not worth it.

Really? When did you "say" this? "What part of "blah, blah, blah" didn't you understand?" infers that you have already said the "blah, blah, blah" part. My "failing to understand" is probably wrapped up in the "you haven't said that yet" part.

Like I said, another post goes right over your head. Did you really think she was actually saying that she's JFK Jr.? Wow. Really?

Give it up, man, your ignorance/arrogance is obscuring the rest of this thread.

I agree absolutely that you can question the motives and rationale of any statements made in a public forum, that is your inalienable right of course. What I was saying in my response to your post was that although you have the right to ask questions, you do not automatically have the right to have them answered. I also believe I have a right to address my comments to a particular person, even though it is done in a public forum if I choose to do so. By the way, it is sad to see you write that The Netherlands is not a great place, because the gentleman who taught me to play chess many decades ago, came from there, and I will be forever grateful to him.

Generally speaking, human behavior is best understood in context. An internet public forum evolves a unified collective subculture from

diverse demographics. Is the prounced bias of RHP Members (to criticize/dumb down/cheapen) as prevalent elsewhere on the internet?

Hey, Bosse, long time no see. How did the condition displayed on Nordlys current avatar develop between your left cheek and nose?

He may have mistaken Noodles as a Christian based religious symbol.
