I start threads about "Dog towels"
apart from that I'm normal.

I hand-write notebooks full of quotes, side by side translations of texts, and poetry. Each subject is a separate notebook. When I have filled up a book, I will likely as not, give the notebook away. I have done translations of the Bhagavad Gita and Dhammapada and filled an entire book of American Black poetry.

Currently, I am working on translating 1200 letters Goethe wrote to a woman he knew well and admired;very likely loved. She requested all of her letters returned and destroyed them....perhaps someday I will fictitiously fill in her replies and write (by hand, of course) a novel...

Most days.

I often take the opportunity of chatting with people on buses and trams. I'm not even sure they want to, so I will bring a book along to keep me busy from now on.

Whenever I read a magazine I start at the back cover and work my way to the front cover. I don't know when I started this but it remains my habit to this day.
