When raw, they mercilessly stab the inside of your mouth with little sabers. If they're cooked, their slimy corpses slither around your mouth, taunting your throat before the invasion.

I'm just saying.
minority report: diced yellow, red or white onions with finely slivered raw garlic, shredded parmesan, coarse

ground black pepper, caesar dressing on a fresh romaine salad with wedges of home grown tomatoes may

well be an acquired taste.... but in my view, you owe it to yourself to at least give this tasty appetizer a try.

How can you not like onions? What do you eat that doesn't have onion in it somewhere?

I pick them off or order things without onions.

Well that rules out French, Indian, Italian, Thai, Chinese, most soups, stews and casseroles... What do you eat?

I sold it. Can't remember what I got in return, though.
A cup of tea.

A good English casserole of steak, with OXO gravy, garden peas, garlic (smashed and sliced small), carrots (diced), black pepper balls, salt, a pinch of oregamo - left to stew for 2 hours, blood dripping into the gravy and melting, then thickened with a little cornflour, and then served with love onto a bed of crispy mashed potato - that wouldn't warrant living and eating for - WITHOUT 2 finely cut Spanish onions that have melted into the gravy! Would it? 😲

Onion, garlic, and sardines.
I got some raw herring from my father's cousin from the Netherlands who's visiting. I will never be able to eat a sardine again, as I have tasted heaven.

Nothing like a sweet Vidalia onion eaten raw like you would an apple.

I agree. I allways cry when I cook onions. I guess I get emotional.
