oh wait... who really are the terrorists?
Ummm lets see as deterrence against the Chinese... they are still Communists last time I checked. Yes, yes, most the Chinese people probably could care less about but then the ones running the military and the government have never renounced their links to Chairman Mao.

Also we see the ex KGB man Putin with dreams of making Russia a superpower once again. So we need to keep him in check .

And then there is that fella in Iran ....

Seems like valid enough reasons to me

And so?

No big deal in your mind that a plane takes off and flies over US soil with nukes on it? Do you think it's no problem that the military had nukes on a plane and didn't realize it?

When I have something important, I like to know where it is. I guess you don't care, but that's your problem.

Since they weren't armed... and the plane didn't crash, no harm no foul. Planes with nuclear weapons flew over this country tens of thousands of times during the Cold War era, don't recollect a single one going off.

Do you?

Name a case where they DIDN'T know where the bombs were. That is the point, they lost track of nuclear weapons.

That's bad.

It's a lot like when you get email... You turn on the plane and:

Ding, Ding, Ding, "You got nukes!"

Still waiting for your solution to ensure this will never happen again. I'll ask you the same question I asked hand of Hectate.

What about when the Soviet Union fell apart... did you get this agitated (actually it was more disturbing than the incident that just happen) when they fell apart. What happened to all their nukes and fissionable material Where did it end up? Iran? North Korea? China? on the black market?

Part of the answer is the American taxpayers spent billions to acquire and account for part of the Communists nuclear weapons stockpile.

Russia's nukes getting into the wrong hands scares the crap out of me. Also, you have me confused if you think I'm agitated, want heads to roll, or anything like that.

I'm just not ready to say, "no harm, no foul." If the government needs to do something more to keep track of nukes, they should get on it an do it. They are their bombs, it's their problem to solve. I just find it laughable that something as important as nuclear bombs can end up 1000 miles away and it takes a guy on a runway in another state to realize what happened.

(laughs) well we can't expect the UN (Useless Nations) to do the job. After all, look at the tremendous job they are doing in Africa.... right?
