Talking on the phone is a good start. At your age, you are just developing relationships with girls, but I wouldn't call this pushy. Good luck. Maybe you said you are just friends so she'll feel safe? If you like her, I'm sure you can show it in a respectful way. Sounds like you do.

Just don't be an animal, and you'll do fine. Oh, and don't listen to CMSMaster.

I'd see her after school, have a little walk, talk about the day and other stuff, then ask her to join me at the coffee shop.
