How many of us are left and still active?
I think Russ published a list of the 'original pawn stars' at one time, but that was some time ago and I do not remember which forum has it or how long ago it was. I seem to remember that it had several hundred names on it.
(I'm getting old, so paraphrasing Mark Twain, "I remember a lot of things that just aren't so!"😉
I'm also not sure just when the 'original pawn star' designation was discontinued. Russ could probably tell you how that worked. Perhaps it was only used until the subscription program was started, but that's just a guess.
For those who do not know what this post is about, the 'original pawn stars' were early members who made a voluntary non-specific monetary contribution to Russ and Chris to help keep the early RHP site in operation, since more and more members caused a need for frequent upgrades to the internet hardware needed to keep the site operational.
Those original contributors were given a distinct 'pawn star' icon by their username to recognize their help at the time. Membership was free for everyone back then, but a subscription program soon was introduced. But a free membership is still in place. The free membership does not offer the full benefits available to subscribers, but still allows you to play several games simultaneously and it does not expire.
The pawn star icon image has evolved over the years too, going from just a star, to a star with wings, and then adding different colors, etc.

EDIT: I should add that this list was not identified as a list of voluntary contributers or 'original pawn stars'.
It is only a list of members who joined in 2001 and 2002 and have been playing regularly here from that time.
