If you are referring to Grampy Bobby spamming up the forums, it has been going on since 2007 when he joined RHP. There have been more threads started and complaining about Grampy Bobby than virtually any other topic. There was even one about how to deal with him in site ideas as long ago as 2008 Thread 98234

This thread got dragged off-topic immediately. I was looking for some thoughts on why very few individual posters remain in this forum, compared to a few years ago. Personally, I blame Facebook.

Yes, the advent of social media has had a negative effect on many online public forums. RHP's Debates and Spirituality still attract a diversity of posters.There's a warm reception on Facebook because new members usually have a nucleus of family members and close friend already there. In contrast, to gain social acceptance on this general forum has proven to be quite a challenge in recent years as first time posters have become discouraged (especially those who get criticized for a thread topic which belongs in another public forum as well as those who innocently ask a procedural question). Whatever happened to the volunteers who offered to assist new members? Incivility also plays a role.

We have found the culprit: GB is like vomit inside the brain, i.e.
it numbs it, confuses it, and then rots.
