For those of us who are still using Pandora here's a good way to record the songs.
http://www.orbitdownloader.com/
You just have to point at the song and a button appears saying "get it". Works at some other sites too.
Also can be used to download vids from Youtube etc [only in .flv format tho' unfortunately]
Free - no ads or spyware.

CD maker I think it's called but it doesn't seem very reliable, I set up the tracks to record but half the time, I come back to a project a week later only to find the tracks are gone or corrupted. So I asked about these kind of progs at a local Sam Ashe music center and the clerk there recommended just downloading Itunes. It seems you can use it to do exactly what I need and may be more reliable. Wonder if anyone uses Itunes? It is a pretty big download, about 50 megs but I have broadband so it was only a few minutes to download, wouldn't want to do that with a dial up for sure. My biggest worry was using that on my laptop and getting popups which I don't need when I am using the lap for recording new tunes when I am on the road. So are there Itune users out there, having trouble with pop ups? I downloaded it a couple days ago and so far have not had any but I trust those big companies about as far as I can throw them. If I don't get pop ups it seems like an ideal solution, it will covert WAV files to MP3's, not sure if it goes the other way though, I might need that capability because I am in a project with my daughter who lives in Brazil where she writes songs, vocals and I am doing backup guitar and bass, but to get the files we need to convert to MP3 to keep the file size down because we email the work back and forth that way so I will need to go from MP3 to Wav at some point. Does Itunes do that, if not, what does? Thanks for reading my long post. Don

i'm not sure what you are talking about when you are wanting to convert them to wav-why do you need them as .wavs? is wav not windows own version, and MP3 the standard?

Converts loads of other file types too.

Originally posted by geniusMP3 is a 10:1 compressed version of a wav file. It sounds just about as good as a genuine wav file but takes up a lot less space. That's why you can store so many more songs on a CD or memory stick than you can with WAV files. Why I need to go back and forth is to do the file sharing over email but when the final product is finished, to go back to a wav file so it can play on a regular CD player, if we wanted to send it out as a demo, for instance.
