PLz go watch The Chronicles of Narnia or at least read the books! I have seen the movie 3 times and read the 7 books by C. S. Lewis many, many times! The books are very good and the movie contains a ton of action with an intense battle, deep and prophetic meaning about Jesus, and alot of potential to make a great disney, christian movie series!!!
The Chronicles of Narnia "The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe", is a 135 minute long movie that is about 4 children (Lucy, Susan, Edmond, and Peter) that enter through a magical wardrobe to a land that is controlled by an evil witch that represents satan. When 1 of them is tricked and captured by her the other 3 go to Aslan, a lion that represents Jesus! After an amazing battle that reminded me of the battle in The Lord of the Rings "The Return of the King", all i could think was, "why would anyone rather see Harry Potter when they could see this movie!
This movie can also be used as a great way to witness to someone about Christ! =) After watching it you could explain to someone about what some scenes meant and maybe cause them to become saved and see them in heaven someday! I really hope that you go see this awesome movie and read these extremely interesting books! Thank you for reading this! -Blackhawk214 (Luke)

I thought it was a great movie. One of the very few movies I think I'll buy when it comes out. Kids loved it. I thought they would botch it up so badly as they usually do with good novels but I was really impressed with it.

Edit
All christianity aside it was simply a good movie. It did not insight religious debate in our household just a great big WOW, that was a great movie.

thank you for the post on the movie...but i am afraid you will now find
out that this site is replete with alot of people who will make some
remark about your being christian...the remark will be unkind....maybe
you should have posted your age and it may stop some of these
posters from throwing back some beer and hitting the keyboards.

This movie does not hit the christianity hard! example: you could go watch it with an athiest and not offend them! many reviews talk bad about the "deep magic" in the movie but all that represents is the prophecies that were fulfilled in the 4 Gospels! Also... some reviews dont give it a good review for absolutely NO reason whatsoever! Like if a movie says "butt" they rate the movie "profanity is extreme:!!! lol =) -Luke

Ouch, that is literally inviting someone to do the opposite.

Back on topic, i read all of the Narnia books when i was about 13/14 as well. I really enjoyed them but i didn't find the Christian thing to be very 'in your face'. The Magicians Nephew is miss-able, but the others are truely awesome. Haven't seen the movie yet but i'm sure i will do.

I just hope the story hasn't been hijacked by American Christian fundamentalists (as i've read that people feel it has...). Nothing against Christians (i technically am one i guess, of sorts...) but Movies aren't there to convert people, they are there to entertain. Lewis wrote his books as a metaphor for Children to experience Christian ethics 'in practise' if you like. The adventures and struggles that the children experience is as much a lesson in life as it is a lesson in Christianity. All i know is the movie has a lot to live up to!!

I saw the movie last week. I read the whole series to my son when he was little.

I thought the movie was terrific, somehow stayed true to the book. You could easily ignore any christian message and enjoy it for the story. I certainly didn't feel like they trumped up the religiousity.

Go see it.

Seems 'on target' from an objective p.o.v. XZaNy 😛

😏 The movie was grandly done; Leam Neeson was a proud parody of himself; nobody can possibly hijack C.S.Lewis for Fundamentalist Christianity... Even decades ago, he was far too clever for that lot 😀

I also thought it was a rather good film, one I will happily show to my kids. I thought they did a good job staying with the books. I failed to see any alterations to either bring out or cover up the allegorical.

It sounds like "battlefield earth" to me.
That was supposed to have a "scientologist" message in it. Beats me where. I just saw aliens coming down and trying to invade and losing. Just like Star Trek or War of the worlds. I loved it!

Would someone care to mention "where" the message is, so I can locate it and enjoy it for what it is?

I don't think you should go see it, there are a lot children in it.

I too once made a point of watching Battlefield Earth because it is often listed as one of the worst movies of all time. But, like you, I just thought was a hilariously bad sci-fi film with plenty of comedy in it. (Learning to fly Harrier jump jets in an afternoon? Right....) But nothing preachy in there, so it failed on that front.

I'm an atheist and I loved the film. I knew it was a film of good over evil as many films are but I was ignorant of the fact that it was a film based on the devil and Jesus!!

Mind you I also enjoyed Independance Day and I don't believe in little green men either. If you are religeous enjoy the 'message' if not enjoy the story. Each to their own.
