Anybody up for a No Limit single table (max 10 entrants) tournament only open to RHPers?
I'm thinking $5 buy in, with one buy back. Top 3 get paid if there are more than 7 on the table. I think the format is 50/30/20%, so top player gets $25, 2nd gets $15 and 3rd gets $10 (no buy back assumed).
I'd be looking to schedule the tournament to start at about 9.30 pm - 10.30 pm GMT.
Everybody starts off with 1500 chips, and the blinds start at 10/20, increasing every 10 minutes.
I'd use pokerroom.com to set it up, as they facilitate private tournaments.
Anybody up for this?

Isn't the poker site taking a rake on the buy-in? They usually don't do it for free...
There are no further payments to the poker site.

How do you handle the finances? Through a pay pal at the site or what?
You can deposit your money via Visa, Mastercard, Netteller, Click2pay, etc.

Today would be out, though. Sunday, perhaps.
Originally posted by RagnorakHowever, I think most of the poker sites require a minimum deposit to open an account. I think pokerstars was around $50.00 to open an account there.

I guess you could open the account, play the RHP tournament for the $5.50, then cash out the unused balance in your account if you didn't want to stay with that site.
And there is the US issue as well. Someone may have figured a "work-around" on that but I don't really know for sure.

That is why I play for free on ultimatebet.com
I like their setup alot better than PokerStars

It's just if you decide to play for real money that you have to make a deposit. A few years ago at pokerstars the minumum was fifty bucks. I don't know if that is the same on all of the sites or not but thought it should be mentioned here for anyone who is considering entering this tournament.

I go to Blackhawk...which is our casino land here outside of Denver and play hold em usually once a month and do well...sad thing is is that it is limit...2/5
But they do have big tourneys...have yet to make a final table in one of those...best i have finished was 14th out of a little over 200.
At limit though I usually double up after a few hours...take abreak and go to this one little place that gives free hot dogs if you are playing their machines...drop $5 into one at the bar and milk it through 2 hot dogs and two beers...needless to say..Dave is cheap. Damn buffets are way too expensive and once you get your blood rushing from playing for a few hours I can't just load myself up with food. Otherwise when i go back to the table I would probably fall asleep in the middle iof a hand.
But the most I have won in one day playing limit was a little over $300...which was grinding from 10 am till about 8pm.
The most I lost in one day was $200...ever have one of those days playing where everytime you get trips..someone has a straight...or you with a straight and them with a flush...I had one of those days.
But most of the time I walk out usually $80 - $150 richer for my efforts.
Anybody else play hold em at casinos??
Dave

If we got a bit of interest, then we'd agree on a date in the near future, ie: a week from when we have at least 6 players confirmed as interested.
