I do have the photo's of the people that I drew but obviously I'm not going to post them up on here as I'm sure they wouldn't want pervy old men looking at them. The portraits I have done are from photo's not life drawing classes, those pieces are the life drawing pieces, funnily enough.

The fashion stuff isn't drawn on, it is hand stitched and is alot harder than you might think. The portraits were the first ones I have done so only practicing will make it better, my ...[text shortened]... life, so finding something like art to do has helped me with it....Thread 44627

are two ,of many, examples of the bollox art has become.

Another is the light going on and off every 5 seconds - what a load of crap.

It seems you can call anything art and some tosser will pay thousands for it.

I have to say I prefer yours to that crap.

Thanks, I too hate that modern crap that they put out. I had to go on a trip to The Saatchi gallery a few years ago and some of the crap, including the shark, that was in there was just terrible. Some bloke took blood from himself until he could freeze it and make a mould of his head out of it, a room that was filled with oil right to the brim of a small bridge so it looked like an empty room but was just filled with oil.............now that isn't art to me, that is idea based work.

Thanks, my drawings were done at the start of this year, the portraits, so I haven't really done much drawing, and that is why they are not as good as some of the other pieces. I've not been doing art for that long so I will improve over time 🙂

Yes what people are failing to grasp is that you're a student. Don't knock Hirst, though, at least not until you've made a name for yourself--he's a pretty successful guy!
