Why are people so rude on the forum, are they bored and having nothing better to do? Are they insecure geeks who only have the nerve to be rude when hiding behind a keyboard?
gentlemen and ladies, your thoughts.........
- Anonymity. There is no accountability. You do not have to answer for your actions, or words. You are able to say whatever you wish and there are no repercussions.
- Selfishness. The inherent nature of humanity to push the limits of what they can get away with, without punishment. If I can do or get A, B and C, but D would get me in trouble, I will do or get A, B and C.
Some are worse in one or both than others, but each person has a level to which they will go, however little it may be.

If you want a laugh, match some of the more aggressive posts on these forums to the gallery of meek geeks at RHP Faces.
Gotta love 'em.

That's civilised humanity that you're thinking about, not indigen humanity.
There's a difference, and its unfair to say that all humanity are A holes.

Originally posted by RagnorakI did not say that all of humanity are A holes. I said they will get away with what they can, which is a selfish behavior.
Incorrect.

There are many things that temper that behavior, which will differentiate the A holes from those who are not. hence my statement "Some are worse in one or both than others, but each person has a level to which they will go, however little it may be."
Originally posted by RagnorakAnother point in this - I did not clarify - punishment can come in many forms and from different sources, some punishment is self-inflicted, which can come in the form of guilt. You kill that mosquito because it "bit" you, even though that is a selfish thing. That mosquito is part of the ecosystem that exists, whether you believe them created by God or simply Evolution. On a basic level, they have as much right to survival as you. However, you do not want it to take your blood, something it needs to survive, so you kill it. Most people are fine with this action, but it is a selfish one.

Overall, humanity has the inherant trait of being selfish. You will be better off when you can admit it. I know that I can be selfish...I also know that my own character tempers that selfishness much of the time.
And yes, I kill that mosquito too.

Its a sign of repression that they project via their anonymity....Im sure face to face they wouldn't say boo........
Some people run rampant with the disease. Others do not succumb to it. Some people have it like cold sores - pops up every once in a while, but it gets better.
