Actually, ivanhoe, it looks to me like RC is posting quotes, and you keep asking him "what's wrong". If anyone is sabotaging this thread it is you, ivanhoe.

I understand that you are trying to defend him, since he is your freethinker friend. I would advise you to read the whole thread and the other thread in the "Meet Opponent " Forum. You can actually read what he was doing, because he is actually saying that he wants to be in my way ... well all right then, he will have to face the consequenses and stop crying when he gets a good beating. Don't try to put the facts upside down, richjohnson .... you're not his mother ... It's not the first time this young man is sabotaging things, provoking people and spoiling other peoples fun .... Don't protect him when he is doing that, you'll make things worse.

I saw this quote today on the wall of the Cafe' Allegro, near the University of Washington:

"Well, one can die after all; it is but dying; and in the next world, thank God, there is no drinking of coffee and consequently no waiting for it." -Immanuel Kant

Fabulous.

"My own reaction to men who philosophize is very much like that to men who speak haltingly and play like children . . . it strikes me as ridiculous and unmanly, deserving of a whipping."

This is from Plato's Gorgias (not spoken by Socrates, of course). 😀

"Fashon is the abortive issue of vain ostentation and exclusive egotism: it is haughty, trifling, affected, servile, despotic, mean and ambitious, precise and fantastical, all in a breath -- tied to no rule, and bound to conform to every whim of the minute."

"What remains?"

~Ivanhoe, Ivanhoe

Is the word 'remains' being used as a noun here 😵?
