Too bad. I was looking forward to debating whether the news media was, in fact, news or sensationalist entertainment.
Well anyway, I'm sure you see my point.

The thing is, if I thought for a second that my child had picked up the expression "dirty Mexicans" from a major news network - even Fox News - then I'd want to ask a few questions. And if I were the crusading type - and let's face it, you are - I'd try to find out when it was said, and by whom. And then I'd want to complain to the company.

You seem so keen for our children not to be corrupted; yet here YOUR OWN CHILD has been corrupted, and what do you do? Do you talk up arms against Fox News? Do you try to establish that they let such a racist slur be broadcast, and then complain about it? Do you warn other people?

Or do you start a hilarious thread suggesting murder should be banned at RHP?

How do you know that I haven't done any of those things?

Have you? Have you found out who said it, and in what context?

How would I go about ascertaining exactly what my daughter saw and what would I do with that information if it were ascertainable?

Ascertaining what she saw? Fox should have transcripts of everything. I doubt the phrase "dirty Mexicans" came up too often that particular day.

What to do about it? I'm not sure, but I'm sure you could think of something.

That's interesting. But Red Night was talking about Fox News.

Plus, that's a comment from a message board.

You can doubt all you want. I can't be held responsible for your thoughts.

Here are a list of quotes from Ann Coulter, a Fox regular. Many are worse and many were made on Fox:

My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building.

Americans understand that Manhattan is the Soviet Union.

Kwanzaa itself is a lunatic blend of schmaltzy '60s rhetoric, black racism and Marxism. Indeed, the seven 'principles'of Kwanzaa praise collectivism in every possible arena of life – economics, work, personality, even litter removal.

I can tell which ones don't need to be looked at, I can tell you that. Old ladies, old black men, little children, blondes, blue eyed.

We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed too.

We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.

God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it! It's yours.

To a disabled Vietnam vet: "People like you caused us to lose that war."

I think there should be a literacy test and a poll tax for people to vote

My libertarian friends are probably getting a little upset now but I think that's because they never appreciate the benefits of local fascism."

These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by griefparrazies. I have never seen people enjoying their husband's deaths so much." -on 9/11 widows who have been critical of the Bush administration

Well, as I said it would be easy enough to check. But then I'm not on a crusade to save the children.
