I've tried silk worm (although i politely turned down eating them alive), and a friendly cousin in ShenYang offered to take me to a Korean place that cooked dog (on hearing that i'd never eaten it and trying to be helpful)...i politely declined the offer.

Cultural differences aside, why even go into a place if you hate the people so much?

Some people just like to stir things up.

As for dog, I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

I was tempted, but i've owned a dog before...nuff said.

It's not a Chinese thing, and as a dish was largely poverty driven in Korea (so a friend from Seoul told me, i might be wrong). Shenyang is quite close to Korea, and so has it's share of Korean eating establishments (there's a korean barbeque place called....and i'm going to kill the spelling here "Fu yu long", they hand you tickets at the door and you have to wait your turn for a table, it's that popular.

I'm no racist. But I have to admit to stereotyping people for their looks/race. Is this very wrong?

I've worked checking IDs at Autzen Stadium. That's all about making snap judgements of everyone that you see.

You have far more self control than I would have had, no doubt about it.

In hind sight is the guy worth possible criminal charges, depending on the extent of his injuries? It doesn't take much to kill someone, especially with kicks to the head.

I spent a few visits to Ireland about 2 years ago, most of the people I met were lovely...drunk, but lovely.

a typical Irish racist prick. (you have to be here to understandwhat i mean).
Isn't it ironic that a post supposedly against those who prejudice based on stereotype, is loaded with stereotyping?

It seems like Paddy Scotsman and Paddy Englishman really only live in Ireland so they can take pops at Paddy Irish man?

I've seen plenty of racism in England when I lived there a few short years ago, and even at the FA Cup semi final last Sunday, there were Chelski fans making heil hitler style arm movements to the camera.

Fear and loathing of people different to one's own group is endemic in pretty much every culture.

What you describe about the Chinese girls seems more of a descriptive tool, rather than anything offensive. Like blonde girls being blonde girls, or curly haired boys being described as those curly haired boys or you (http://www.epicfail.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/epic-sexy-fail-obese-webcam.jpg) being described as the girl with the rectangular glasses.
