Hi, Poet Laureate. Only three (3) posts since July 21... sounds as if you've had a great summer with family and friends.
As to the question imbedded in your jingle the answer is 'yes'. You've always made a difference. You know that.

i'm going to answer the question you put to handy andy, from the only perspective i have...
but first, allow me to address one of yer quirks that irks...
you like to go digging for information about folks, no matter how obscure, no matter how trivial or important it may be, you want to know "something" about someone, before you begin to talk to them...
in my case, you look for my posting record...
since i do everything in my power to give you nothing about me or mine, (i find yer manner rather creepy), and you need something, anything, to appear benign, you grasp whatever you can...
my posting record???
HA!!!
like that means a dang thing to you, or anyone else...
itz just a freakin number, and yer extreme leap to, sounds as if you've had a great summer with family and friends, iz beyond pale...
you assume because i post naught here, i must be with family???
dang...
itz just creepy, dude...
now,
to yer query,
Also, please help me understand why the op to this innocuous and innocent thread has, within the lapse of only a few hours, already garnered six (6) Thumbs Down clicks. Merci.
sir, yer posts, unlike myriads of other posts, even the mundane ones, taste like boiled water...
zero flavor...
oh, to yer credit, you attempt bravely to make each and every one ring with passion and zing and, hell, patriotic fervor!!!
this iz not necessary...
not even desired, az you know by now, having witnessed (in addition to many "thumbs up" ) a slew of "thumbs down" attached to yer bland offering...
it tastes like boiled water...
devoid of any spice...
this, sir, iz why you get the reception you do...
deserved or not...
sincerely,
rookie

Implication that someone's head was or is down to begin with seems somewhat humorous.

Eight months away from RHP, it's been great catching up with friends and almost friends since 2007. Seeing your avatar, first thought I had was to hope the guy's in good health (probably a projection on my part). Checked your profile (as I often do with new chess opponents as well as posters) , noted your summer absence from the gf and guessed you had seized the better alternative... days in the sun and with family and good friends. Hardly cause to take offense, Rookie.

Before you fall off your high horse, you might actually want to review your posting style. Feel free to point out the positive ones, for even the ones where you 'try and stand up for poor GB' you are nothing more than a spiteful ball of hate.
Review my first post in this thread... was I trying to ruin it? I don't think so. It was advice that you not lly am. I just hope they all appreciate the hard work you do for them.
