TV is a lot of things - education, culture, entertainment, company. It is also a lot of rubbish.
Telly does have a worse case of Sturgeon's Law than usual, though.

"The terror" based on a novel by Dan Simmons - have any of you seen it?

I blew through Season 2 of Jessica Jones in a week. About the same for the 10-episode mini-series The Defenders, which was basically Season 2.5 of Daredevil. I watch too much Netflix. I also DVR like 5 hours of the CW every week.

Who watched the 10-episode Season 11 of the X-Files?

Yes loved it. The superb Julie Walters is a national treasure.
The bottom of my pan is burned, ruining a bunch of macaroni.

Recent TV chez FMF...

McMafia.

Mum series 2

The Good Fight series 2 (the spin-off from The Good Wife)

Seven Types of Ambiguity (Australian)

Madam Secretary series 4

Five Days series 1 (BBC/HBO 2007)

Final [6th] series of The Americans.

Excellent. A worthy and very satisfying last series and denouement to a great slab of dramatic and absorbing character-driven works-on-more-than-one-level TV these last few years. A good, hardworking, well written, well plotted, very well acted story. Top notch TV.

Hulu is now in the middle of Season 2 of The Handmaid's Tale. The series has been picked up for a third season, so you might be waiting a while.
