Some people have gotten recs by either subscribing again and giving themselves hundreds of recs (sad), or having some sad case spend hours in 1 night going through the posts, reccing them all (sadder). Examples of these are katty or bowmann.

Without doing any reccing, search for a users posts, and pretend you're going to rec it, then move on to the next one. Repeat 1000+ times.
Appreciate the life you have.

What's that? A crazy elephant?
Or did you mean sycophant?
For a lot of people on this site, English is not there mother language and are already glad that they can write something down in English.
Tip: use simple words (and I don't mean SMS-language or shorts).
Originally posted by RavelloI disagree. Recs are not pointless.
That's why recs are pointless, people give em away for dull reasons instead of reccing worthy posts with a valid point.
A rec is like a smile: nice to give and lovely to recieve. It is free and it exemplfies contentment.
A rec is not the be all and end all, but it makes these forums a happier place.

Originally posted by NordlysOK, I understand that some people, like yourself, would like to learn more difficult words. The only problem is then, that not everybody can follow what you're saying and can't tribute to the thread. That to me looks like a missed chance in getting more opinions about a certain subject.

If you never do it you will always struggle to understand everytime you will find that certain word.

I'm only trying to say that not everybody speaks, write or read English well or very well for that matter. The threads sometimes have much speed, message after message and if you have to search every word up in a dictionary ...
Ahwel, I think you get my point.
