the state of qld australia ,south east corner is in the middle of the worst drought on record. our main water supply dam is down to 15%.it services millions of users. the govt is in the mist of converting over to recycled water as our only hope. rainwater tanks are being emptied by theives. (a new crime wave) weve been told that londoners drink recycled water?? i wonder if their p will taste any better than owes ?

I read the news concerning this shortage. Sorry to hear that.

Yes, I would. Without a second thought. Water is water,
the water you drink today was likely recycled at some point in the past... Thus the term "water cycle". So why not?

4 minute showers, water police reading your water meter, supplies being cut.on the spot fines if caught using water outside. im of the opion that recyled water from the sewage plant might be alright. its going to be pumped back into the dam mixed with the good stuff ect. i dont know?????

I'm not going to elaborate, but we're not too far from that where I live. So I sympathize! We call them code enforcement here instead of water police. But the same end result, that is, fines or even jail time if you use too much H2O!

For all you investors out there, water rights!!!!!! They can be bought in some areas of the world.

the thing is (according to my wife to be who served on local govt and represented her shire on the water board) these shortages were recognised 10 yrs earlier but the govt did nothing about it. now we will be paying dearly. some say as 12 cents per litre recycled at that.

Some places in Western Syney have been drinking recycled water for years without trouble. Properly recycled water is as good as any other drinking water. It's the idea of it people don't like, rather than anything about the water.

People also have no problem eating cows - which are probably far dirtier (especially after going through the slaughterhouses) than "recycled" water.

Isn't all water recycled?!

Do you think when you drink water that it is gone from this world - and that we are gradually diminishing the amount of water on Earth so that eventually it will run out.
I think not,
All water is recycled - either by nature or by water companies. The only thing causing a water problem is global warming and global dimming.
