The "point", @HandyAndy: according to your Red Hot Pawn Profile is that you've failed to provide attribution for...

which appears to call into question your presumed high ground within the context of your reply above:

"Concerning ‘Chess is a sea in which a gnat may drink and an elephant may bathe’, Christian Sánchez (Rosario, Argentina) has found that a similar quote, claimed to be an ‘old Indian proverb’, was given by George Koltanowski at the start of an article on pages 154-157 of the May 1936 issue of El Ajedrez Español: ‘La partida de ajedrez es como el Océano, donde un mosquito puede cruzar y un elefante puede ahogarse.’

As our correspondent points out, this has a different meaning: ‘The game of chess is like the ocean, which a gnat may cross and where an elephant may drown.’ It is not known in which language Koltanowski wrote his article for El Ajedrez Español or, of course, whether the ‘old Indian proverb’ had appeared in print before May 1936. Page 220 of The Chess Scene by D. Levy and S. Reuben (London, 1974) had a chapter headed ‘Chess is a sea in which a gnat may drink and an elephant may bathe’, which was labelled ‘Russian Proverb’.Information is requested on an item given by Irving Chernev on page 14 of the October 1974 CHESS:..." http://www.chesshistory.com/winter/extra/proverbs.html

Same authority who anointed you with the holy right to
spam this forum with passive aggressive babble and
bland clichés, you annoying dork.

"Author unknown." Where? Deflection of the apparent theft of intellectual property noted.
Let's return to divegeester's profound original post: "Great, they've gone."

The only relevant question of the moment.

I'd rather say the only relevant question is: why is the Lard such an imbecile?

why are you so obnoxious? if you don't like the posts then surely the solution is simple - don't read them. But to whine at every turn is more tedious than all the cuts and all the pastes that have ever been. Have you yet to realize that your posts are simply a reflection of you rather than those you seek to vilify? Perhaps some chillstep or Zen music for relaxation, feel easy instead of buzzing around, stress is a killer 4sure.

Why do you deem yourself to have such "authority" but divegeester not?
