WHAT IF you were suddenly to drop dead RIGHT NOW?
WHAT IF a truck suddenly swerved out of control and squashed you on the way to work?
WHAT IF God decided to end the world at THIS INSTANT?
Is that a chance you want to take? Remember, we are talking about an eternity of torment here!!!!! Imagine you are in HELL, and demons are sinking their needle-sharp teeth into your genitalia and shoving big red-hot pokers into all of your orifices, and that this is going to last FOREVER!!!! And imagine knowing that if you had just repented, you could have instead been in Heaven with Him for Eternity.
Think about it, please.

I should proclaim my interest in this thread, for, according to Dante, sitting in the shade of a large boulder, with arms wrapped around knees and head lowered, Belacqua epitomizes the lazy spirits who waited until the last minute before repenting and turning to God. Shall be condemned to wait in Ante-Purgatory for as long as I have negligently delayed my repentance on earth: that is, the length of my mortal life. That said, am in no rush to begin the arduous climb up the mountain.
People who call on others to repent always forget one thing: they forget to say how to repent. How does one go about it? Do I just decide to repent and it all goes from there? Is there something else that needs to be done? Is it the kind of thing one can choose to do, or does one have to be spontaneously moved to repent? If the latter, then there would seem to be no point in calling on people to repent.
I'm gonna use the "death row" method. I'll wait until just near the end of my life, find God, confess my sins before the world, accept Jesus Christ as my savior and then get a free ride into heaven. And I won't have to make all of those sacrifices for a whole lifetime like those Christian suckers do. Nope, just a few months, maybe a year or so or having the faith, and then I'm on the heaven express.
