It is still game of chance when games between bad players occur. Pieces are randomly shuffled and accidental checkmate can be given and received too. 😛

Do not be angry and put people on hate lists just because they wish you a good game. "GL" is more greeting than anything else, just like "Hello" when it comes to internet chess.

People say it is not a game of chance, but I say anybody who plays at a level of 1200 or below makes moves pretty ramdomly, so it tends to just be the last one to make a mistake who is the loser.

Posting Good Luck, GL, at the start of a game is simply a polite greeting or introduction, not unlike the handshake at the start of a OTB game. Civility and courtesy was and should be a basic tenet of chess, or any sporting endeavor for that matter.

I often think that when people play on ages after they should resign.

I like to imagine myself as a super villain who has finally managed to outwit the hero. So much so that my final message tends to be "goodbye, Mr Bond"

Sure. If each player makes 50 consecutive moves without a capture and without moving a Pawn, then the game should be declared a draw. In that exact game ater 180.Ke1 you could claim and achieve a draw and make THex happy🙂

Sorry, I miscalculated. It 's only 40-41 moves from the White instead of the required 50 in which he moved not pawn, therefore the truth is that Thex never gave you the chance to claim a draw according this rule, and the result is a clear win for him. I 'm very sorry, how silly I am to miscalculate the moves!
