I am considering buying the RHP membership... is it worth it?? what is the clan play all about??
The rating system is awful. It ruins the idea of banded tournaments and encourages sandbagging and ringers in Clan matches.
Save your money. I won't be re-subscribing.

def worth it, if not for the clans and playing many games...its worth it just to get rid of thoses dam pesky ad's !!!
Have been a member for a number of years now...completely satisfied...π
I just joined and so far I think it's worth it, although I have not joined a clan or played in a tournament. Correspondence chess is different that OTB chess. It's at a highter level because there's essentially no time pressure and you therefore have a far better opportunity to plan moves and strategy, and also to investigate deeper tactical ideas.

the vacation system??? what is that???
and do people sandbag bad?? i am good but i don't want to play Mr. Fischer....
This win goes into the player's profile for anyone to point and laugh about. Look, the mighty 1700 player won a 1200 rated tournament. Wow! Impressive.
Why anyone would want that stain in their profile is beyond my reasoning. I don't think they consider that many users are going to see what they've done and laugh about how pathetic it looks to win a tournement several hundred points lower.
