The rating system is awful. It ruins the idea of banded tournaments and encourages sandbagging and ringers in Clan matches.

Save your money. I won't be re-subscribing.
To help clarify your statements, please inform the readers of the effects of your resigning 18 games on November 26 on your own rating. Some of us do not understand the term "sandbagging".

He was pissed and thought he was moving in each game, not resigning.

Don't spout your condescending crap at me. If you want to know why I resigned those games then try asking me without trying to feign a sense of patronising, intellectual superiority.

I would hardly consider resigning 18 games 9 months ago "sandbagging".

If you really want to know, I resigned all my games in progress (except Clan games) as I was going to quit the site. I was fed up of being beaten in Banded Tournaments by sandbaggers that were really 200+ points over the rating limit. The only reason I didn't leave for good is because they revised the Tournament Entry Rating system.

200+? is that all??

people have slumps and rises in their ratings, its when a members rating used to be a 1800 and enters a 1000-1100 rated tournament that you have to worry about.

200 plus. As in at least 200 points over.

My RHP membership was totally worth it! I went from 6 games to 200+, i play in tournaments and clan matches, there's no limit on my games.

if you don't mind the ads and only want to play a few games and don't care about entering tournaments or clans, then you don't need to pay a membership fee. however, since you posted the question in the forum and are reading this, then i think that it's a pretty good guess that you would probably find your membership worthwhile.

I'm going to start a new thread in the "site ideas" forum based on this - there should be a ONE MONTH ONLY "trial membership" with a limit to the number of games and tourney's and clans that can be joined - say 25 games, 1 tourney and 1 clan . .otherwise, if the member drops the sub, it would mess up too many games and it would also be possile for that member to set up a thousand games in that one month, not really a good idea (note that games all are allowed to finish after the membership expires)

I'm pretty sure that was why monthly subscriptions recently stopped being available..

In my case, someone gave me a gift of a monthly subscription and I immediately subscribed for a year after it was over.

It's a great way to get to know the site. I'm sure something could be done about that problem (i.e. all games but 6 resign automatically 1(2) month(s) after the subscription expires). If this is known to the subscriber, I'm sure there won't be many complaints.
