Hey Starmann, I downloaded one of my pieces and one of
Shav's, but both came out playing way too fast, shav sounded
like a chipmunk almost, pitch and speed too high. Anyone else
have that artifact or is it just my machine here? I am at work
using win 2000 and its built in media player. If its here, can I fix it?
Don.

you have labled as the river I think is one of those you couldn't find
that is a composition of my son, Kevin. The River is a solo guitar
piece.

Likewise, Years circle Love is written and performed by my wife Susan
and the swedish lullaby is sung by Charlotte, from the Swedish
branch of my family, my daugher in law. She also wrote and
performed the song "Another Ragged Phoenix will be rising" with
the help of some over dubbing by me on bass and I think I added
some dulcimer and guitar and a background vocal by Meeca, a
family friend. So all of the stuff labeled Sonhouse is our family.

Could anyone inform me of any tools I could use to convert audio files to MP3 format? I reckon I've well and truly missed the dead line for this one, but hope there may be more to follow in the future.
I had to export to a wav.
I recorded the wav onto a CD
I recorded the CD back with Real Juke Box into best quality MP3.
I have no other way to do it.

(Sonar 4) and when you go from a CMP file to mixdown the tracks,
you hit export and a window comes up asking where and what type
do you want to convert it to. I would have gone straight to Mp3
which is one choice but it said I needed a plug in from Cakewalk.
So I picked what they called "Broadcast Wave" hoping that was
really a wav file. It seemed to be and showed the proper number
of MB when I right clicked and hit properties but when I burned it,
it played on another comp but when I right clicked and hit properties
it showed only a few Kilobytes but the whole thing played on the
media player on the other comp. But when I tried to email the file,
it didn't go, I sent something to my son and he said it was the wrong
file type and sure enough, it was not wav but CDA which seems to be
the proper format for CD's. I thought wav files and CDA were the same
but it seems not. Found a cda to wav file converter online and
it converted it fine, was able to send the track to Kevin and he was
able to play it and burn it, ect.
Anyone have a similar experience?
Also Starmann, look at my piece called The River, its not the right one. The river is a guitar solo composed by me, what is showing is
a composition of my son Kevin. Thanks.
