Sonhouse, you have some [doodoo]-hot skills. Do you have any CDs available for sale?
Have you ever listened to the Judith Edelman band? You would love them. They have a [doodoo]-hot mandolin/bouzouki/banjo player and a great vocalist. Your submissions immediately reminded me of their musical style. They're one of my favorites.
spend so much time on the road, don't get a crack at our
home studio. Have not heard of Judith Edelman, what state is she
from?
I think I will google her and see what pops up. Sounds interesting.
Your amazing grace was pretty gracefull too! Do you do any other
form of music on tin whistle? Blues? Irish?
I googled her in and found out her latest CD is called The Little Willies
and one of her band members is Jerry Douglas. Now THATS a name
to remember! He is one of the best Dobro players in the world, no
shite there. His other band,or one of his other bands he plays in
is Allison Kraus' Union Station. Ever here them? I saw them live on
Austin City Limits and they are truly spectactular. A buddy of mine,
Mark Simos wrote two songs that Allison recorded. Google his name in,
you will find a lot of stuff about him. Did you ever hear of
Freyda Epstein? I have told her sad tale here several times.
Virtuoso fiddler, grandmaster singer, died in a bizarre car crash. Her
best CD is called Live at Cabels, Acoustic Attitude. Great CD.

I don't think I ever said so, but I had envisaged (due to previous competition voting practices) that people would refrain from doing so. But if you really think your music is better than the others in that category and you are being impartial, then the vote may stand I guess.
Here are my new votes:
Cover: Starrman
Singer/Songwriter: Starrman
Best Lyrics: Starrman

Isn't it customary in RHP competitions to vote for three favourites on a sliding scale of points?

Yes, sigh...
Right does everyone wanna start ths again and do it like that, now that all the songs are in the correct place and there are no latecomers?
Hey Cribs, we completely disagree on something. This is rare enough that we should get Nemesio to moderate a debate on the subject.
By the way, is "John Hardy" really by sonhouse? I thought he said he had only sent one entry ("The River" ) by himself, and the rest were by various family members? I don't have a problem with having it in the competition even if it's by his son or another family member, but I think it should say so.
