Well, we'll just see who wins. I wasn't really impressed by the other singer/songwriter or cover entries, and none of the other lyrics struck me as memorable.

You could take the "I vote for my own stuff to try to ensure I win" side of the debate, and the wingnutt could take the "I abstain from voting when the rules state that I can't vote for myself, to try to ensure I win" side.
