Gatland will have the Welsh primed to go hard from the go to woah for this one. He is a potential replacement for Graeme Henry. The abs must not drop the ball or lose the ball in the tackle and must retain ruck ball.
Warren Gatland (former Waikato NZ provincial coach) now Wales Coach) says "We want to claim that pride in the nation and what we can do, ...[text shortened]... oy a good hard close game.. but I think the abs will be all over the place as usual lately.
But how about the Kiwis downing Australia in the league final, what a prize!

I'm interested to see how Kaihui went at centre.
Rapt that the Kiwis won. All we have heard for months was how the Aussies are so good the World Cup was a nonsense and pointless waste of time and that everyone knew Aus were the world champions..
Heck we know they are awesome and the #1 side but victory and the silverware are sweeeeeet 🙂

ireland stay in the top 8 woohoo in the most boring game of rugby ever played...if argentina weren't without their top players we would've been slaughtered.
Though Scotland look to me to be the big improvers.
I must say I thought the Wales AB game was bitty and boring
due to the show being stolen by referee Kaplin who rejects input
his linemen applies his own rules and in my opinion should not be a test ref because he is so out of line with every other world referee.
I have no complaints with reffing standards except this one he isn't bias, he's just out of sync
On a positive note the ABS showed their most cohesive period of play in the second half to sweep aside a well drilled Welsh side. All credit to both teams.

Record score against England at Twickers by SA..
SA serving the England new Favourite Dish - Curry.
They won the yellow card race too! 2-0 to SA.
These guys are inconsistent week in, week out at the breakdown. It would be laughable if it wasn't so pathetic. I'm surprised you didn't notice it, although I don't know who reffed the AB games...
Anyway, a few of the tight passes stuck, with batter all-round handling and the boks ran away with it, as they would have done all tour if we had proper refs.
The one yellow was very harsh, as the English were also falling over the ball all game, so why does only a bok get sent off? Same old, same old.
The second yellow was bloody ridiculous. Jantjes moves up in defense, the English fullback chips and runs straight into Jantjes, pulling a wonderful soccer dive and performance, writhing on the floor. The ref fell for it - hook, line and sinker. Crazy.

I haven't heard from my cousin at twickers yet..laugh he won't have a lot to say until after the ab game. They be tougher for NZ.

My Son is working the projection software in the Big Rugby Ball at Tower Bridge for a fortnight,,,lucky sod they screen the game across the dome inside live.. reckons it weird but awesome to watch.
Originally posted by Tirau DanThe 1st yellow was justified, but then at least one English player should've been sent off too for perpetrating the same offense over and over throughout the game 😕

These types of inconsistencies really piss me off.
If we were playing an important game with close scores a prop off could've cost us the game...
That second card was actually funny. Can't believe an 'international quality referee' fell for that. Maybe these guys are watching too much European club soccer and dives like that now pass for penalisable rugby offenses?
Seems the Northern hemisphere is a little short on refs who know the rules of rugby - maybe I can apply? Put that EU passport of mine to good use...

The worst ref is Jonathan Kaplin. He has his own set of rules and is too egotistical to wear his glasses he ruins games whether he is in the middle or on the line. He's missed or ignored blatant serious match altering offences which have been slayed in the press in every game I've seen.... not just in abs games (I don't think it's bias.. he just likes to keep the game flowing but ignores the rules in doing so.
My fav ref is English Chris White and I actually thought Barnes was okay in his last effort with us... but Kaplin must go. My second least fav ref is an NZ ref Paul Honiss.
SA ref have the Bledisloe Cup tests next season with Kaplin getting the final....

It's not just Northern arefs that are inconsistent and I think every one here would agree they are only bias in your view.
Also, you seem to be confusing inconsistency with mistakes.
Sure, all refs make mistakes. Not all refs interpret the rules 100% the same.
Kaplin is an idiot who misses things - this is not inconsistency. Blowing the boks for falling over the ball and then allowing the English to do the same for the whole game is inconsistent.
The Northern hemisphere refs seem to not know half the rules and I can't wait until they're rated themselves. Once they are relegated to ref a few club games they will go and study the rules again so they can ref international games again...

My god, his restraint with an obnoxious journo is amazing. If it were me I would've ripped his bloody head off.
Twickenham Saturday for us...
Conrad Smith back at centre ahead of Richard Kahui. Smith does have an eye for a gap. The question is will England consolidate, harden up and play the game?
We have yet to see NZ play combinations and support play yet if they do hit form it would be curtains for England by a big margin.
I'll give England the benefit of a good come back I doubt if NZ will put up a 20pt lead this weekend.
NZ 32 v Eng 18

What a beautiful new trophy Lady Hillary has put up for matches between NZ & England.. "The Sir Edmund Hillary Shield" I believe it's a Bledisloe Cup for NZ v Poms with a handcrafted silver image of Sir Ed.
Maybe England will climb Everest tonight but I think the Kiwis might just get there first.
Originally posted by muppymanWell done Wales. Nice win. They showed up and put in the hard yards and their bodies on the line. The Welsh wanted it more.

Now the ref, Alan Lewis is the same wombat who rorted the Aussies against the All Blacks in Hong Kong. Two minutes in, Mortlock gets taken out off the ball with a late and high tackle. Nothing.
The Welsh threw many forward passes. Nothing.
My favourite of the night, Cooper getting smashed mid air, and when we protest, the Wallabies get marched 10 metres for dissent and the Welsh slot the penalty! @*%!@%$%&
The funny thing now with Wales beating the Aussies and the Kiwis whacking the English is Argentina is now the fourth seed in the 2011 World Cup. N.Z first, S.Africa second, Australia third seed.
