pantyman and i live about 120 miles or 200km apart. he also plays chess, and sometimes we attend tournaments together. he was intending to go with me to arkansas (see below) but could not attend.
as for the bare painted feet, that's just the way i am. it's one way i express my individuality.
since i posted this originally, i played in (and won) an event in arkansas (the "tournament record" page shows it), but there are no pictures from that event unfortunately. at that competition, i met the guy who runs "jason's chess site".
the leaves were pretty then too.
i plan to play in another tourney there in december.
catch you later,

Hell, the only thing missing from that abomination is a flashing red marquee...
I wish Mirsky's was still around.

i played in one other event, in iowa in decenber 2007, going 3-3 1 (this is reflected on the "tournament record" page on the site), and once again, pantyman wanted to go but failed to make it. i thus ended up 21-13-3 on the year. i was unable to make the other arkansas tournament though. 🙁
i forgot to answer a question posed earlier about how often i wash that shirt. if i remember right, i dropped something on it that day, and it's been washed a few times since then. 🙂
as for the flashing marquees or lack thereof, i used those on some of the other pages, but not this one (and none are birght red because that is not consistent with the color scheme i used). the main problem i have with those is that the site restricts how they are employed. i want one that feed continuously, with no gap, but they don't do it that way.
overall, i find piczo to be okay, but not great. its web-based editor is extremely slow and clumsy to use, and i'd rather hard-code my own html so i know exactly what is there. it was designed for those who know nothing of web-page design, and i do.
anyway, i hope to play in more events this month.
i might add that i have added a few colors to my toes and feet for the holidays, but don't have any good pictures of them, and with the space limitations on piczo, i'm not going to upload anything of substandard quality (but might think of linking to a different site for them).
if you play in any uscf-rated competitions, you may encounter me some day. 😀

Nothing says, "happy birthday to our Lord & Saviour" like festive, holiday toes. 😕

Now they'll be green and red rather than green and yellow.

It's been a while since I've seen the vomit colour scheme and layout employed on a site.
Oh so very retro.

isn't there something in the TOS about having to wear shoes when making moves?
