It was a good game... unlike last nights Sox beating vs. Baltimore.

There's still the wildcard...so maybe the Sox can get to about 4 games into the first round :'(

What curse? There's no curse. And it's suprising that a Yankee fan like you would make any reference to a curse, because it eliminates the possibility that your team is just flat-out better than the Red Sox.

WHich, by the way, is not the case. The Sox played a horrific game defensively today, and Francona displayed shades of Grady Little by not giving Pedro the hook in the 8th until it was too late. And the umpires clearly missed two calls that went in favor of the Yankees.

Anyway, my point is, the Red Sox are not done. They have all but sewn up the wild card, and these teams will most likely meet in another thrilling ALCS. In which case I will have to display a Yankee logo on my profile page, since I'd already predicted the Yankees wouldn't get out of the first round.

Page one is fine.... so long as it's updated.

Yanks (boo hiss) won the first, but the RED SOX won the last two!

I'm still rooting for a Sox-Cardinal "October Classic" for a repeat of the '67 Series. '67 was one of my most memorable๐Ÿ˜ต

Geez, I'd forgotten about Santiago, pitching for the Sox, he had a good year then if I remember. I think what really did them in was the domination of Gibson though, what did he win 2 or 3 games. I'm drawing a blank on "Boomer", Bob, who are you refering to? The old memory must be going๐Ÿ˜›

PS: How was the surgery?

I just looked up the box score from Game 7 that year. As soon as I saw Scott's name it came back! Thanks though! Gibson did win three games. And Santiago was 12-4 that year with 109 SO's!! That was a good pennant race in the AL that year as well๐Ÿ™„
