Can anyone tell me why it's called a world series when the vast majority of the world not only don't play baseball, but don't play in it even if they do?

The teams are all in US and Canada... but the players are from all *all over the world!

If that does not satisfy you, consider it 'the world of baseball'.

Indeed, this is an extremely funny thread looking back at the initial posts. Especially the post mentioning Cards vs Sox in World Series. Then again who am I to talk, expecting the states to win the Ryder Cup 🙁

I was one of those early posters rooting for a Cards- Sox repeat. It was fitting that the Sox won this time. Bobla45 and I get to relive our youth🙄🙄😵😵😀😀 Where is he anyway? He's needed in this celebration!

I saw this image on Yahoo showing about 13 of the Sox.

I cut it up to be some of the players making each about 50x50 image using Paint Shop Pro.

www.jasc.com (60 day trial, so don't get it unless you have time to learn it)

PSP comes with 'Animation Shop'. I took all the 50x50 player images and shoved them into an animated gif. It is really simple, once you learn how to use the programs. If you enjoy the program, you can purchase it for about $100 bucks... the price of a couple few good vid games.

Also, just so you know... you could load your avatar in and change it... make it shift or spin the other way and save it out.... or take mine apart.... etc. Cool Programs!

Hey! I just fond this Red Sox thread. As we all know, the Sox pulled off a doozey after being down 3-0 to New York and swept the Cardinals. I wrote a story about being a Sox fan. It can be found half-way down the front page on http://www.fenwaynation.com
