I had the pre release beta test version of shareaza. Now it is asking me to download the full version, which i have, but when i go to open it it says "files in this program may harm your computer, are you sure you want to run it".......

...I'm just not sure anymore :'(

Has anyone else got it, what are the possible problems ?

I find that on a lot of downloaded programs. If you're worried, you can set a system restore point first, and run a spy sweep and virus scan afterwards.

A system restore point contains all of your computer settings, what programs are turned on/off, and what programs are on your hard drive; when you download something it is a good idea to create a system restore point so you can restore your settings to what they were before, if something goes wrong.

Very handy. You set a restore point on your computer. Then, if something goes wrong, you can restore your system back to the last restore point--undoing all the damage that may have occurred. Very useful for the time I uninstalled AOL and it screwed up my system.

Look in Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools.
