@Very-Rusty saidThere seemed to be a moment where I found it so but only for a very short time but then I thought maybe Canada had mistakenly cut off electricity to us instead of the US.😲
Does any one else find the Site slow this morning?

LOL...>You are silly if that were the case we wouldn't have had internet at all!!! 🙂
Yes it was dragging here for a while but seems to have resolved itself.
I on my way out into the frigid cold to get a nice hot Coffee, at McDonald's.
You know I need my Caffeine fix in the Morning, puts me in good cheer. 😉

@Torunn said@Torunn,

McDonald's have the original Tim Horton's Coffee bean, which I enjoyed then they kept making it stronger and stronger at Tim's. It got to a point where I found it hard on my stomach. I find McDonald's who do use the Tim's original coffee bean much milder. Some don't like it and would rather the Tim's there are line ups at both outlets all over the City.
So, I would assume it would be all in who you asked. 🙂
-13C 8.6 F here with wind chill -20C ='s -4 F. I wish it would stay cold as we start getting use to it and it warms up. Out west they are having much colder temps around -35 to -45 and lower with wind chill that even Canadians would call very cold.
I think it was funny -4 I think it was and they had to hold the inauguration for Trump inside. He claimed it was too cold that would be -20 C here but we do go down to -30. We consider it very cold after -30C 🙂

@Torunn saidDepends on the location. In Malaysia and Thailand it's pure dogwater, but anywhere I've had it in Europe it has been decent and cheap... Expect for Italy, just regular prices. Wouldn't travel for it mind you but simple minds, simple routines and simple pleasures.

Cafe Amazon is the place I'd go to in Thailand, the coffee is fine and not so expensive. Double espresso for about €1:50. Staying in a place beside a Starbucks at the moment and thought I'd wonder in just to have a look. Americano €3:60, croissant €3. I quickly left and went to cafe Amazon 😅
@Very-Rusty saidHere, as far as I know, McDonalds are not liked for their coffee but for their quick burgers. Now we have many places specializing on burgers and their quality usually exceeds McDonald's. If I were to choose McDonalds these days, it would be in the company of kids, perhaps before or after a movie, but never with friends or my family.

Our prices have sky rocketed in the past 10 years and more so since Covid. I think that is a world wide thing, now Trump is talking about 25% Tariff tax on Canada which will hurt us and American Middle class as well. We will see what products. I know Canada will retaliate. They need us and we need them, which he fails to understand in my opinion.

Perhaps if you ever Visit Canada, try a McDonald's here I am sure you will enjoy it better. I suggest trying a Big Mac. 🙂 That is my favorite treat every so often.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidMcDonalds in just about every country around the world.

I am sure it is different in every country too, although they all suppose to be the same this is not the case even with in a Province the coffee can taste different.
As well as the food, some places I wouldn't feed the food to a dog, who most likely wouldn't eat it.

@Very-Rusty saidNot sure if they use a standard bean, but always find it a bit weak. (But still better than Starbucks).

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidI find Starbuck over priced here and their coffee cost more than I believe it is worth. I believe it is more for people that have money (a social thing), not that I don't, but I can't see spending the kind of money they are looking for here, were I can get better across the road at McDonalds for cheaper price. I am a good tipper and probably wind up paying more with the tip. At least I know the money I give as a tip is needed.
