Recently I started to have a problem with my computer: The active window (actually I don't know if it happens with any window, I have only experienced it with the browser (Firefox) window) suddenly becomes inactive, without any noticeable reason and without any other window popping up. Very annoying when I am typing, and suddenly nothing happens anymore. Clicking anywhere in the window reactivates it. Any idea why this might be happening?

Are you actually saying that you do not know something?
I am quite shocked.
I thought robots knew all.

Try closing down a number of them from the task manager and see if that fixes the problem.
Might require a bit of trial and error before you find the culprit.
Originally posted by NordlysNo clue. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling FF?

Originally posted by lauseyThere are a lot of processes in the list, and in most cases I have no idea what they do and if it's safe to close them down. But I have been thinking what might have changed recently, and I am now trying if closing Playchess completely might help.

Originally posted by rbmorrisNo. I doubt it has anything to do with Firefox. But if the other suggestions don't help, I might try it. By the way, I have been able to type for a while now without getting interrupted, so maybe it really was Playchess.

Originally posted by lauseyOn that note, look for a process called cisvc.exe in Task Manager
