Anyone use this combination. It's a long shot but I thought I would ask.
I set up an on the road studio with that, using a laptop and an external USB HD (you want to put the audio data on another HD so the C drive doesn't bang itself to death and/or slow down system performance).
Anyway the problem I am having is twice the 410 drivers have dissapeared from the Sonar audio options window, there is a list you can see of all available drivers so you can get goesindas and goesoutas for the sound. Funny thing is, the little icon for the 410 is there, when you invoke that you see the softwae mixer on the screen, and the 410 still amplifies mic's and the phantom PS works (condenser mic's) and you can hear what you play through the built in phone jacks but no interaction with Sonar. I would like to have a solution that doesn't involve re-entering the drivers once a week!
I did a search for the 410 drivers and XP couldn't find anything, which is not to say it's not there, I may have not spelled the name of the driver file right. Any ideas?

I have also an RME hammerfall I/O and it worked fine for a couple of years but there is something serious, flash memory problem I think. I also have an M audio delta 66, my first I/O and I think it never had a problem, might have to use it again, but you have to have a mixer, no mic preamps.

And is it firewire or USB?
Not that big a deal, but for on the road recording, I want it as simple as possible and the 410 fits the bill perfectly, it's just a pain in the butt sometimes, especially setting it up, not intuitive at all. Maybe it's time to jump to a layla or something. It has to have mic preamps and phantom power though, the 410 does that job perfectly if it works!
