You live in NE, right? I've not seen this spider yet.
I've decided a solution. The next spider I see goes in the glass. After today's rain I might even find a wasp at work. I'm calling the shots now, Mr. Spider.

The brown recluse is so small it barely has any poison it is just deadly even in miniscule doses so he could make small poison darts for his barbie dolls. 😛

Flush it for sure! That is the only way to be sure it is dead and any babies it may be carrying!
I just found two Hobo spiders in the house this week, they are nasty as well. Luckily they are very large so easy to spot and get rid of.

Surprisingly, earwigs make fine gladiators due to that claw on their butt. It fits right around a spider's waist.
I'd just kill the damn thing. What happens if you slip and knock the glass off the table?

I don't usually kill spiders on sight, only in the kids rooms. They don't bother me much. But a recluse might be a bit much for me. I might put it in a glass, too, to look at it later.

The best thing to do is add bleach to your glass. That kills them pretty quickly.
