@gertrude saidThem little springs don't need to store energy, they are naturally imbued with energy. They vibrate like the strings in String Theory. And like 'strings' the tiny springs are way too small to see or detect. That's why I need a mathematician for devising a formula that will support my theory of... EVERYTHING!
@Kilroy70
the potential energy of a spring is zero
just like your chances of a nobel prize
@earl-of-trumps saidI could go for a square pizza right about now.
Why not? I'm sure Spring theory has as much to do with reality as String theory does.
Here's my mathematical contribution to your system: Pie are square - hope it helps
@kilroy70 saidanytime an equation has a zero in it you're doomed

why don't you work on something else
like a perpetual motion machine
@kilroy70 saidOk, here’s yer equation: 2 B or ~ 2 B. That is the question.
Hey, check it out. I'm starting my own thread!
That's right, this is MY thread! So you all better behave yourselves or you'll risk facing my wrath.

Okay, so this morning I came up with a new version of string theory to clean up some of the niggling little problems it presents. Instead of tiny 'strings' I propose everything is made up of spr ...[text shortened]... cr*p.
If this works out and a Nobel prize is not out of the question, I'm willing to share credit.
I expect an acknowledgment when you get the Nobel Prize.
@kilroy70 saidSo do you see the known universe as a kind of matrass, then, able to bend time and space when we jump on it?

@indonesia-phil saidIf I understood you then yeah, it's something like that. A universe should be springy. Not flat with nothing but straight lines, and mushy.

@kilroy70 saidSort of like string ?
