Edmonton vs. Carolina?

Either Dwayne Roloson or Cam Ward's name etched on the Silver Chalice?

I love it! The Conference Finals were great, every game full of action from end to end. I'm pulling for Edmonton. I've always had a soft spot for the Oilers. Carolina could have an edge opening the series, after having dispatched Buffalo, and with no layoff to deal with like Edmonton has, they may have a slight advantage at first with plenty of confidence. Should be a tremendous matchup.

I think it sucks. Every hockeytown in the NHL should hang their heads in shame.

and OLN lost the signal last night in the first period of a game 7 and millions couldn't watch it. OLN...pffffffffft

I don't see how it sucks when the teams involved have given everything they had on the ice to get a shot at winning the Cup.

But, you're entitled to your opinion.

Don't you mean Cam Ward?

As a Canadian, I'll obviously be pulling for the Oil, HOWEVER as Edmonton is full of white-trash hooligans, I won't be disappointed if they lose.

Just kidding, all you Edmontonians.

Carolina in 5.

It won't suck at all. This finals should be very fast and exciting. Both teams are a treat to watch, especially Carolina.

YO!! What's up man? Going for Carolina, for one reason only: Rod Brind'amour was the heart and soul of the Flyers in '97. Two shorthanded, unassisted goals inside of five minutes...Love the guy, I want him to get his name on the greatest trophy in sports.
Brind'amour has always been one of my favorite players. Why did Clarke ever let him go? He always was in the best shape of any Flyers player every single year he played. All he does is run through walls to help his team. I'd be happy to see Brind'amour raise it high, no doubt. Whoever wins, it cool.

Because Clarke is a bumbling idiot who should have been arrested in Russia in '72 and left to die in a Siberian work camp.

Yes, I do. 😳

Thanks for the correction. I blame it on too many Wards on one team and my meds ran out three days ago.

Forwards: Carolina, by far
Defense: Edmonton
Goaltending: Edmonton, slightly
Special Teams: Even, although Edmonton's PK in the Anaheim series was unreal.

Wow.

Are you thinking that Roloson will be set back by the layoff as a big reason?

Clarke traded Brind'amour so Keith Primeau could come here and play 25 games a year. Brind'amour had 77 points in each of the three seasons before he was traded; Primeau only did it once, and then got hurt, didn't want to play, blah blah blah...Brind'amour has been widely regarded as the NHL's fittest player and clearly has the team's respect. Met him once, he's a very down-to-earth guy. Love the guy.
yea i met him too, he was doing some kind of benefit at a car dealership in media. I was still kind of a kid, but i remember him being an awesome guy

I don't think Roloson will be the weak link here although he's been inconsistent his entire career. He's 37, don't forget! I just think the East is much stronger this year and Carolina will simply roll over them. They have the complete team (except for a star defencemen on the PP) and I don't see them getting this far to lose to an 8th seed. They're no Red Wings. This team has lots of heart.
