Clarke traded Brind'amour so Keith Primeau could come here and play 25 games a year. Brind'amour had 77 points in each of the three seasons before he was traded; Primeau only did it once, and then got hurt, didn't want to play, blah blah blah...Brind'amour has been widely regarded as the NHL's fittest player and clearly has the team's respect. Met him once, he's a very down-to-earth guy. Love the guy.

Oilers in 7
In 7 because i really want to see a game 7 for the championship. And I love Brindy, but I can't stand Carolina, so i have to pick edmonton. I honestly havn't seen much of them this year though
I can't believe I never got into hockey before this year. What could be better then flying stuff, long sticks, sharp blades, it's legal to smash people into walls (within reason of course), and they get into fights.
well with Roloson out for the rest of it, and Edmonton blowing a 3 goal lead, it doesn't look good for you Oiler fans!! Your goaltenders now couldn't stop a beach ball much less a hockey puck...LOL. Carolina in 5. How sweet it is.
Goalies, Edge...Carolina
Defense Edge...Carolina
Forwards Edge...Carolina
Intangibles Edge...Carolina
Momentum Edge...Carolina
Canes winning the cup....well you know...LOL
Huge series opener! Whoa!
I can't see how Carolina will let this opportunity pass them by. They were on the ropes and then suddenly WHAM! it's a whole new situation in the series.
I've seen Conklin play plenty in college hockey, and coupled with the screw-up last night, I don't think he's got the stuff to see the Oil through. Markenen will get the Game Two start, I'll wager.
