Hemsky's goal to tie it at 4 was a show of pure heart. I thought for sure after Williams' short-hander the game was over but Edmonton surprised me again by coming right back.
Hot Rod Brind'Amour comes through for the 'Canes last night! I know that the concept of the Stanley Cup in the middle of Tobacco Country, being slobbered on by rednecks, instead of residing in the birthplace of the game, should offend me and it does. But Rod Brind'Amour is the freaking man, and I'll choke down my distaste for the Stanley Cup being in ...[text shortened]... was right there, baby, the game winner was pure hustle! Love it! Vintage Brind'Amour.
It is a complete shame about Rollie though. The guy carried his team into the finals only to blow his knee in the first game. And what could be worse than having the back-up blow the game in the final MINUTE! I bet someone's Mother got punched in the eye down on Whyte Ave. last night.

I'm not surprised though. I've watched some of the games on NBC and it's absolutely horrid. The camera is so far away from the ice, the commentary is weak, there's no insight from the colour guy and Pierre Macguire sits between the benches doing his best jackass impression.
I feel sorry for you guys. :'(
Originally posted by darvlayOh man, NBC, terrible. The worst is trying to watch the three clowns do the intermission report at the Rockefeller Ice Rink. But NBC is way better than the OLN coverage. I told you last week that they lost the signal for carolina's game 7 in the first period. Had to check my phone for score updates. sad stuff
