Well Dudley can afford Jack http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/6304298285/qid=1147297370/sr=1-17/ref=sr_1_17/103-8478742-0420643?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=404272

1p You can find that sorta money on the floor.

[EDIT] I don't mean to destroy a thread with a point it's just that I have nothing of value to post so I ended up posting something not of value.

Should become a MP, in the UK. Fact is that if you are a MP for 26 years you are guaranteed a pension of £1000 a week which is index linked all funded by the British tax payer. Nice work if you can get it. John 2 S***s Prescott has a pension pot of around 1.3 million pound all funded by the mug British tax payer, and they wonder why hardly anyone can be bothered to vote.

A damn sight more than the weekly unemployment benefit rate of £56.20 does.

So if we take two people

Single man aged 35 earning £20,000 will pay £3,034.30 Tax and £1,645.16 NIC leaving him with a net income of £15,320.54

whereas if we assume you earn the same between your state pension, other pensions and a p/t job you will pay £2,540.40 tax, and no NIC leaving you with a net income of £17,459.60.
.
But some pensioners have to live on the state pension [and possibly a low wage from a p/t job] alone with no work pension - there are millions that didn't get a private pension for whatever reason.
And some of the disabled are in the same boat. It is a disgrace - I am utterly ashamed of our government for their inaction.

that's an argument to vote more rather than less.

"your allowances will jump from £5,035 to £7,280 meaning you can earn £2,245 more than me before you pay tax, HOW FAIR IS THAT? "

But, I don't want to earn more!! Done that! I've got a jack! In fact I'm pretty well set up. I would just like to be able to spend where and on what I would like rather than have no influence on contributions to other causes that I may not agree with. Yes, I do vote. I am thankful to be living in a very pleasant part of England even tho' one third of my pension each week will go in Council Tax!

I aint the whinger. I just want . . . Oh I don't know . . . where are my teeth. What was I talking about?

Ah! Actually, still got all my teeth. But can I now aford to keep them? Good job we've got a government who look after the working person!
