You are right, or at least that's what the company wants you to think. I've heard (from reputable sources) that it actually, over long term use, degrades both. Windex on the other hand, according to certain Greeks, is a multipurpose cleansing concoction that includes, window cleaning, burn ointment and of course zit supressor to name a few. I believe that ad obliterator was also on the list although I didn't notice that till after I chose to use the Armorall as, if memory serves me well, was # 73 on the list.
