My point is if there was major catastrophy, you wouldn't have enough money to look after yourself & family.
I have 5,000.00 + what ever happens to be in my wallet. Don't carry any more than 200.00 in cash as a rule in my wallet, probably not quite that in it right now.

It is interesting in this age of cards, people don't keep cash on hand, and when something happens, no one has any money to get things....Was like that during our hurricane Juan & White Juan that same winter. Except for us smart folks of course.
