I raised, unknowingly only half cocked the hammer, my shotgun and aimed it, ready to fire, when one of those same friends, emerged from those same bushes. Luckily, had I fired it, it would not have gone off and I wouldn't have been stuck in jail for manslaughter. I stopped hunting after that incident never actually ever had killed a thing, other than my "interest" in hunting. 😉
