When I was 13, I wooried about all the same stuff you are now, probably more neurotically than you. I thought I would never find a girlfriend, etc...
Well, I hunkered down and concentrated on school and sports. Didn't get my first girlfriend until I was 18, didn't meet my future wife until I was 22.
Now, at 38, I have no regrets about not doing the dating/girlfriend thing earlier. Not once.

I hate to disappoint you, but in the real world guys NEVER get enough sex. Not even when they're married! (I'd say especially when they're married but I don't want to turn him sour at such a young age).
I suggest that you concentrate on interacting with the girl - not as a girl, but as a PERSON! Yeah, cause that's really what she is ya-know... So treat that special friend as a person and DON'T try to touch her in an inappropriate manner. Don't stare at her crotch. Try to think of her as a friend to have fun with. In other words, spend some time to develop a relationship.

pinnedhorse, I'm just a year older than you and I suck at getting girls. A lot of my friends have a lot better luck than me, and I got jealous. But a few months ago, I just decided to give up and focus on the things I'm good at, like school, chess, and soccer. This is not to say I'm not trying, I'm just not going out of my way. It's actually a relief. A lot of the pressure of acting like an idiot just to get girls is taken off. And now I get to laugh at my friends (behind their backs) because they are still doing all sorts of stupid things to get a girl. And it's definetely not worth their trouble, but they do it anyway. They're not old enough to have a fufilling relationship.
My advice:
You have to get over the jealousy and the feeling of being an outcast by realizing that they're all acting like idiots and you're the only smart one in the bunch. 🙂
I've just turned one year older than Ark, and have been kissed a grand total of 3 times. It doesn't happen as soon as you hit puberty, trust me. Don't have any misconceptions about that.
Even if you do get a girlfriend, some girls don't like kissing. They prefer to spend time with you, holding hands, hugs, and whatnot. Kissing is not the only thing in a relationship, nor is sex. As a 13 year old, everyone thinks about sex, guys more than girls. Don't expect sex, even if you have a girlfriend. Shav does raise some points, but at your age, if make a move to early, you will end up alone, and word will get around you are a horny bugger. Don't worry if you a girlfriend, and she doesn't "put out" for you straight away. The time will come, and it will be natural then.
