Agreed.

And Sussex have a player in the touring party.

Good Luck Matty Prior

And Yorkshire got promoted back to the First Division 🙂
I was on holiday on the last day of the series and missed all play after lunch 🙁.
Shame as I wanted to see Ashley Giles' highest Test innings!

Unfortunately they did manage to hang onto a draw in their recent game to achieve this 🙁

Yeah, what was going on there? - looked to be heading for an innings defeat for Derbyshire, then their bowlers add 300 runs or something and almost force a win!!

Hopefully something to look forward to next summer. It isn't good to see them struggling, I'd certainly like to see them doing better, but it has been going from bad to worse since Cork got his recall into the England side.

They should bring games back up to Buxton, then I could head down for a few games.

Just thought it was time to remind everyone that the English won the Ashes - Freddie named player's player, and Botham the English player of the last 25 years...

Alright Aussies? 😛

You think that's bad? Wait till you get over to London, I'm planning a lovely reception for you 🙂

And I for you; I won't have showered for a week.

Actually, it looks like my brief stop-off in London will be a week too early for the meet-up. I was really disappointed about that, but now that this thread has resurfaced I'm feeling better about it all. Next time, mate!

P.S. I'll visit the meeting place anyway, and hope my stench lingers long enough to be enjoyed by all.

But then again, I've heard you Poms don't shower very often yourselves. 😉

We like to keep the smell of victory lingering on us.

Perhaps I should skip England completely.

As amusing as it would be to see your kangaroo impression, I don't think that will be necessary. A simple 'Well done, the best team won' should do.

I'd sooner do an ultra realistic impression of a dung beetle.
